At Sinai, we have the service of Agape Vespers on Sunday morning. The Gospel is read in many languages, as a sign that the Glad Tidings of the Resurrection of Christ have gone forth into all the world.
All the lamps are lit over the reliquary of Saint Catherine, which is also covered with a beautifully embroidered fabric.
Again, the Archbishop greets each member of the monastic community and each of the pilgrims with Χριστὸς Ἀνέστη, Christ is Risen.
Father Eumenios, keeping his paschal candle alight, waits for the Archbishop at the end of the service.
Christ is Risen!
Thank you for the lovely photographs, Father Justin. I have enjoyed these glimpses of Pascha at Sinai.
