Dear Father Justin,
When I expand the photograph, it seems like there is some graffiti on the walls. Is this a common problem?
With best regards,
Richard
The walls of the chapel are covered in a soft plaster, and pilgrims and visitors have left their names. The arches of the monastery refectory are made of sandstone, and there also, pilgrims left their names. One was an important nobleman from Belgium who visited six hundred years ago. We know that, on his return, he constructed a chapel dedicated to Saint Catherine. It is important when we can learn more about the pilgrims who left their names here. The graffiti at Prophet Elijah would be more recent.
Dear Father Justin,
This is an amazing photograph … so vivid! The sky, the colors of the chapel, even the two steps of the stairs are so vivid!
Thanks a lot for sharing this with us!
