One year here in Gloucestershire I was lucky to be asked to help a beekeeper move a hive and they are wonderful creatures. He explained they were Greek bees. Then the next year I was in Greece and I witnessed for the first time many bees drinking shoulder to shoulder from a large shallow circular bowl. When one was finished another would take their place until they too gave way for another. I was told that they were from a hive up the hillside and their beekeeper would transport them loose in his car with him when he moved a hive.
The flowers are so different and yet similar. The colour so living and some of the petals a bit brown already perhaps all on the same tree. Thank you.
