A ceramic tile with a beautiful cross in shades of blue. There are two such tiles on the back wall of the Chapel of the Burning Bush, one to either side of a large icon of the Tree of Jesse, depicting the genealogy of Christ.

So beautiful and divine!
I have never seen this .
Thanks a lot dear father Justin
Truly beautiful. Thank you for sharing this
Is it possible to give a date for the tiles?
The tiles with the inscription over the Archbishop’s throne have the date 1680. These would have been made uniquely for the monastery. It is likely the two ceramic tiles with crosses were also made for the monastery, and date from that same time.
Thank you, Father Justin. Your blog continues to fascinate!
