The cave of Saint John Climacus, an enclosed space beneath massive boulders.
We read in the Life of Saint John Climacus, composed by Daniel of Raithou,
Having taken a solitary place of struggle five miles distance from the Kyriakon (Thola is the name for the place), he passed forty years there earnestly, ever burning with inflamed longing and the fire of divine love.
Thanks Father Justin
We love this cave … with divine love for Saint John Climacus
And the art of photography is perfect here!
Our group felt so privileged to have actually been into the cave and felt what life lived there might have been.
We were so privileged to enter into the cave and the photograph helps to rekindle the memory
