My brother and I are thinking of coming to visit the monastery in December. It would be our first time. What is it like visiting in December? Should we wait until a warmer month next year?

We celebrate the feast of Saint Catherine on December 7 and 8. There will be hundreds of pilgrims who take all available accommodations. Apart from those days, a visit in December can be very pleasant. Dress warmly if you want to climb to the summit of Mount Sinai for the sunrise. The sun is bright and warming in the middle of the day.
