Did you personally escort this cactus with you from the New World–perhaps Texas?
I saw it for sale in Heliopolis, and immediately felt an empathy, since I grew up with cacti. It seems happy here. Certainly it gets plenty of bright sunshine. They bloom in the spring. It seemed special to also have a bloom in September.
Prickly transplants bloom sometimes but the cost in energy and concentration must be high.
