The almond trees bloom in early February, a beautiful sight. The air is filled with a light and subtle fragrance. Honeybees gather the nectar and pollen.
Καὶ ἐγένετο τῇ ἐπαύριον καὶ εἰσῆλθε Μωυσῆς καὶ Ἀαρὼν ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ τοῦ μαρτυρίου, καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐβλάστησεν ἡ ῥάβδος Ἀαρὼν εἰς οἶκον Λευὶ καὶ ἐξήνεγκε βλαστὸν καὶ ἐξήνθησεν ἄνθη καὶ ἐβλάστησε κάρυα.
And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds. (Numbers 17:8)
